I started this site to document my (mis)adventures of living in the woods. I moved out here thinking I was prepared and had the right mindset and immediately started to learn.
I had mowed yards and trimmed branches but never cut down a tree.
I had painted fences but never had to install one.
I had replaced outlets but never run conduit or replaced a breaker.
I had underestimated what I had to learn and overestimated how quickly I could learn it.
Luckily, through some great books, numerous Youtube videos, and trusted friends and advisors, I’ve made progress and steadily increased my skills.
